Espen Jorstad open-shoved for 230,000 from the button and was called by Thomas Santerne in the big blind.
Espen Jorstad: Q♥J♥
Thomas Santerne: A♥K♣
Santerne had woken up with Big Slick and was in good shape. Jorstad flopped an open-ended straight draw on the K♥10♣4♠ flop, but received no further help on the 5♠8♥ runout. He was the first elimination in the money, taking home €113,000.
Niklas Astedt and Thomas Santerne saw a flop of 7♠6♠2♥ and Santerne check-called 60,000 out of the big blind.
Santerne check-called 250,000 on the K♥ turn. The river was the 10♠ and Santerne bet out for 140,000. Astedt flicked a single chip into call, but mucked when Santerne showed A♥K♠.
"Nice bet on the river," said Astedt. "200,000 I can't call, but 140 — perfect."
