Day 3 Highlights

Hvam was the chip leader at the end of Day 1b and he has returned to the top after falling back from the pack on Day 2 and starting Day 3 with 465,000. He got started early and eliminated Lucas Sfez during a run that saw him get to over 2,000,000 just before the second break. The top stack scored another big hand late to cross 3,000,000 when Fausto Tantillo jammed with eights but ran into Hvam’s pocket kings.

Elsewhere in the room, Colillas was running it up at the featured table throughout the afternoon. The PokerStars Ambassador started the day in the top ten and kept pace several big hands, including a clash with Julien Martini that brought back memories of their heads-up battle in the 2019 PokerStars Players Championship, where Colillas came out on top for a $5,100,000 prize.

Colillas moved above 1,000,000 after the hand with Martini and climbed again later with a big pot against Arthur Conan, only to take the chip lead for a short time in the late stages of the day after picking up a double knockout on the featured table. The Spaniard will return in search of his first EPT title.

Ana Marquez was the last woman standing in the tournament after an impressive run that saw her bow out in 26th place for €26,230. Other players coming up short on Day 3 include Jonas Lauck, Gaelle Baumann, and bracelet winners Ole Schemion and Simone Andrian.
