Day 2 of the €100,000 Super High Roller at the 2022 PokerStars and Barcelona©Casino European Poker Tour has bagged up after ten levels of play with eight players making it through to the final day.

Five new entries were added to the field before the start of Day 2 to bring the total number of entries up to 68 which included 16 reentries. This created a total prize pool of €6,597,360 for nine players to get paid at the end of the road. All players are guaranteed at least €247,400 but the winner will walk away with the Super High Roller trophy and the first-place prize of €1,979,220.

After the dust settled, Kevin Paque bagged 4,730,000 for the chip lead and will look to put those chips to work tomorrow. Paque won many massive pots throughout the day but caught fire after eliminating Artur Martirosian with pocket tens against pocket threes and again busting Christoph Vogelsang with the exact same two hands. On the final table, Paque won a big pot off Nick Petrangelo when he shoved all in on the river and got Petrangelo to fold. Paque has $2,055,288 in live tournament winnings but will look to add more to that with another deep run in this prestigious event.

Erik Seidel also bagged a big stack with 3,300,000. He won a huge pot late in the evening against Petrangelo when he shoved all in on the river and Petrangelo folded. Mike Watson bagged 3,130,000 and rounds out the top three.

Pedro Garagnani was the unfortunate bubble today when he was all in for his last 605,000 with pocket fives and ran into the jacks of Paque. A few notables who made Day 2 but fell short of bagging included Seth Davies, Daniel Dvoress, Dan Smith and Brazilian soccer star Neymar, who managed to build a big stack early on but ran into the two-pair of Jean-Noel Thorel against his ace-king to bust.

Players will be coming back to Level 19 with blinds at 30,000/60,000 with a 60,000 big blind ante. The final table will be streamed with cards-up coverage by PokerStars Live on Twitch and Youtube on a 30-minute delay.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be on hand to bring you all the Super High Roller action as it happens until it finishes from 12:30 p.m. local time on Tuesday, August 16.
