Lococo Among Big Stacks at End of Day 1b of the £2,200 UKIPT High Roller
PokerStars Team Pro Ambassador Alejandro Lococo is among the big stacks at the end of Day 1b of the £2,200 UKIPT High Roller at PokerStars European Poker Tour London. Lococo has over $2,000,000 in live tournament earnings and will be hoping to add another title here at Hilton Park Lane hotel at EPT London. Other players who bagged big include Laszlo Molnar (583,000), Charlie Hawes (570,000) and Christopher Maguire (570,000).

Lococo leads the remaining 29 who will combine with the Day 1b survivors on Saturday 22nd October. Other notables who survived include Gianluca Speranza (40,000), Renan Bruschi (185,000) and Alexandre Reard (212,000).
Lococo was short stacked for much of the day but built a stack before the bubble and continued to build on the bubble by putting pressure on the short stacks. Mateusz Wozniak had a big stack for much of the day but will be returning with around an average stack.
The bubble lasted a while but it was German Leonard Maue was fell victim to it as the EPT Barcelona €25,000 high roller champion shoved ace four from the small blind only to run into Charlie Hawes's pocket nines in the big blind. Endrit Geci managed to sneak into Day 2 and hence the money with just 14,000 as a result of Maue's elimination.
Action will resume at 12 p.m. local time with ten minutes left on the 3,000/6,000 blind level with a 6,000 big blind ante where play will continue until a champion is crowned.

Leonard Maue Eliminated on the Bubble
Action folded around to Leonard Maue on in the small blind who moved all in for around 100,000. He was called by Charlie Hawes in the big blind.
Maue, a EPT Barcelona 2022 high roller champion, was behind and needed help. The flop came which put Hawes way ahead. The turn was the which gave Maue a gutshot. However the river was the which eliminated Maue on the bubble and ended the action for the day.
Macchiarelli Bluffs on Bubble
Gabriel Roberts limped 12,000 from under the gun and Luciano Macchiarelli checked behind in the big blind.
The flop came and Roberts bet 13,000 when checked before Macchiarelli raised to 37,000. Roberts paused for a bit before folding. Macchiarelli showed for nine high.

There are 30 players left and only 29 will make it to Day 2 and make the money. Players must bag to make the money.

Hawes Doubles Through Maue
Leonard Maue raised to 20,000 from the cutoff before Charlie Hawes moved all in from the button for 153,000. Action folded back to Maue who looked up at the clock before calling.
Hawes was in great shape to double as he dominated Maue's pocket tens with his pocket kings. The board ran out to give him the double and leave Maue with less than ten big blinds.
