Sylvain Mazza Eliminated in 7th Place (€32,600)

Nível 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Sylvain Mazza
Sylvain Mazza

Sylvain Mazza raised to 450,000 from early position and Mario Mosböck called on the button. The flop was {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Mazza shoved all in for his remaining 1,130,000, which got snapped off by Mosböck.

Sylvain Mazza: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Mario Mosböck: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The start-of-the-day chip leader needed to hit one of the remaining jacks if he was to survive. He caught the {6-Hearts} turn and {a-Hearts} river instead and was eliminated in seventh place.

Cakmak Takes Last One Before the Break

Nível 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

In the last hand before the break, Emrah Cakmak won a blind-on-blind battle from Stefano Schiano. The board was reading {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{q-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Cakmak took it with a pot-sized bet of 1,000,000 on the river. Schiano tanked for minutes into the break before giving it up.

After the hand, players went on a 20-minute break.

"Woohoo!"

Nível 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Jacquelyn Scott
Jacquelyn Scott

Jacquelyn Scott has been nurturing a shorter stack throughout the final table but just now came out of the woodworks. It was Sylvain Mazza who opened it up to 275,000 in middle position. Scott three-bet shoved what appeared to be two million straight at first glance — accompanied by a "woohoo!" — and the cheer worked as Mazza laid it down.

Lead Back to Cakmak

Nível 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Emrah Cakmak
Emrah Cakmak

The chip lead at the final has changed hands quite a few times today, with Emrah Cakmak as the latest to lay claim to the coveted spot. With already some chips in the middle after preflop and flop action, Cakmak saw a turn with James Romero on a {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades}{8-Clubs} board and both players checked.

The river brought the {q-Clubs} and after a check from Cakmak, Romero got a clock called on him relatively early. As soon as the brush approached, Romero bet 175,000, Cakmak called, and the American flung his hand face-down in the muck.

Higgs Takes From Cakmak

Nível 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Sam Higgs raised to 320,000 in middle position, Emrah Cakmak three-bet to 1,000,000 from the cutoff and Higgs called. The {q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} board got checked through on flop and turn.

On the {5-Clubs} river, Higgs bet 1,200,000 and Cakmak visibly tried to find a reason to call. Ultimately, he couldn't do it and laid it down after several minutes.

Yota Mitsui Eliminated in 8th Place (€23,000)

Nível 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Yota Mitsui
Yota Mitsui

From under the gun, Yota Mitsui open-shoved more than 1,600,000, James Romero also shoved from the cutoff and all other players folded.

Yota Mitsui: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}
James Romero: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The {k-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts} board failed to bring any help to the Japanese player, who had to depart in eight place for a career-high cash of €23,000.

Jacquelyn Scott Going for the Kill in her First European Poker Tour Event

Nível 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Jacquelyn Scott
Jacquelyn Scott

Jacquelyn Scott is not exactly what her opponents expect when they see her sitting at the poker table, and she's quite okay with that. The 2015 WSOP Ladies Event winner has been able to capitalize on her image, and is having a blast in the process here at her first EPT event ever at the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino European Poker Tour festival.

“Being a woman, and being my age, you’re always going to be underestimated. That’s been a real advantage for me this tournament.”

There were some constants on Day 2 of the €1,100 French National Championship, among them, Jacquelyn Scott cracking jokes and stacking chips.

Her opponents will be sorely mistaken and may pay dearly - in chips - for their error if they think Scott is clueless, or weak, or afraid of them.

Mosböck Gets Three Streets From Mitsui

Nível 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Mario Mosbock
Mario Mosbock

Mario Mosböck raised it up and Yota Mitsui defended his big blind. On the {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop, Mitsui check-called 350,000 from Mosböck. The turn brought the {10-Spades} and Mitsui check-called a second barrel worth 1,050,000.

The river was the {6-Hearts} and Mitsui checked a third time. Mosböck emptied the clip with a bet of 1,775,000, and the Japanese player called it off after spending a little under a minute in the tank.

Mosböck showed him the bad news with {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for the flopped straight, Mitsui just shook his head and mucked.
