A total of 80 players returned for Day 2 of the 2016 PokerStars EPT12 Dublin €10,300 High Roller and three players reentered while Scott Margereson signed up just before the restart to create a prize pool of €1,794,500 with 185 entries. Within 10 levels of 60 minutes each, the field has been whittled down to just 13 hopefuls. Leading them is Sergey Lebedev after the Russian bagged up 1,522,000 chips. Three other players claimed over one million in chips: Emil Patel (1,339,000), Ryan Riess (1,174,000) and Akin Tuna (1,100,000).

Lebedev amassed a large percentage of his chips when he turned a set of queens against Samuel Panzica, with the American holding aces. That boosted his chip stack to nearly 1.7m, but he ended up slightly less. Other notables who are still in going into day three include Davidi Kitai (512,000), Christoph Vogelsang, (310,000), Timothy Adams, (758,000), Rocco Palumbo (565,000) and Sam Chartier (458,000).

A whole host of players bust on day two, both before and after play was in the money. Igor Kurganov, Anthony Zinno, Fabrice Soulier, Mustapha Kanit, Mohsin Charania, Daniel Dvoress, Bryn Kenny and Mike Watson all busted before play was in the money, and missed out on a min cash worth €17,950.

The unfortunate moniker of bubble boy went to UKIPT Main Event Champion Vladas Tamasauskas who tanked on the bubble in a hand against Jerry Odeen before calling with ace-seven for a pair of sevens, only to be sent to the rail by Odeen’s pocket nines.

Once the money bubble burst, players went on a 75 minute dinner break. After they returned, the bust outs quickened up, with Ibrahim Ghassan (27th), Francois Billard (25th) and Scott Margereson (24th) busting in quick succession for a min-cash worth €17,950. Another player who secured a min-cash was day one chip leader Dominik Nitsche (26th) who lost a pot to Marco Leonzio where Leonzio turned a straight, which was enough to beat Nitsche who held only jacks. He then lost the remainder of his chips calling a check-shove with ace-jack against William Arruda, who had flopped two-pair with ace-nine.

The bustouts continued with Joao Vieira (23rd), Luiz Duarte (22nd) and Arne Coulier (21st) cashing for €19,750. Next Jacob Bazeley (20th) and Marco Leonzio (19th) cashed for a slightly higher amount (€21,530), with the latter busting in a one million chip pot with Ryan Riess and Jason Mercier. Riess got it in with pocket nines ahead of Mercier's ace-king, with Leonzio's ace-eight hopelessly behind.

After that the pace slowed before the high profile eliminations began, first with Jason Mercier, who was short after that huge pot, (18th for €21,530), Ben Heath (17th for €24,220), Jeff Gross (16th for €24,220), Sylvain Loosli (15th for €26,910) and Felix Bleiker (14th for €26,910) exiting the tournament field before play stopped for the night.

The last 13 players will return tomorrow at 12.30 p.m. for the final day of the EPT Dublin festival, each vying for the trophy and €397,500 first prize.

Vogelsang and Chartier Shove

[user38873] • Nível 20: 8,000-16,000, 2,000 ante

In the third last hand of the day, Christoph Vogelsang moved all in to claim the blinds and antes. Akin Tuna raised the last two hands on his table to 40,000 and claimed the blinds and antes once, then folded to a three-bet shove of Sam Chartier.

Over on table two, Jerry Odeen raised to 40,000 and picked up two callers including Sergey Lebedev and Rocco Palumbo in the big blind. The flop {Q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} was checked to Lebedev and he bet 45,000. Only Odeen called before both checked the {5-Diamonds} on the turn. Odeen bet the {10-Clubs} river for what looked like 94,000 and Lebedev let go.

Four Hands!

[user38873] • Nível 20: 8,000-16,000, 2,000 ante

The clock has been stopped with 12 minutes remaining and the {4-Clubs} indicates that another four hands will be played before bagging and tagging. The players will keep their current seating, as the next redraw takes place with nine players remaining.

Palumbo With the River Call

In a limped pot between Timothy Adams on the button, Rocco Palumbo in the small blind and Samuel Panzica in the big blind.

The three of them saw a flop of {4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{k-Spades}, and Panzica bet 22,000 and the three players called.

The turn was the {3-Hearts}, and each player checked. The river was the {5-Clubs} and Panzica bet 56,000 and Adams folded. Action was on Palumbo who went into the tank knowing that any Ace had a wheel.

He thought for several minutes before eventually calling and turning over {3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for two pair, which was good enough to scoop the pot

Vogelsang Finds a Double

[user38873] • Nível 20: 8,000-16,000, 2,000 ante

Christoph Vogelsang gave up his blinds and then moved all in from the button for 89,000, picking up the blinds and antes. The German pushed again for just over seven big blinds from under the gun soon after and William Arruda quickly called from one seat over by putting in five T-25,000 chips. The rest of the table folded and both players turned over a pocket pair.

Vogelsang: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Arruda: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

The {Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop improved Vogelsang to a set and his double up was confirmed with the {7-Hearts} turn, making the {3-Clubs} river meaningless.

Patel's Flush Sinks the Kings of Vogelsang

[user38873] • Nível 20: 8,000-16,000, 2,000 ante

Christoph Vogelsang raised to 37,000 from under the gun and picked up one sole caller in Emil Patel out of the big blind. The {Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop saw Patel check-call a bet of 55,000 and he did so again on the {6-Diamonds} turn for 150,000. With the {7-Diamonds} river as final community card, Patel checked for a third time.

Vogelsang then pushed all in and Patel snap-called. The German expected to win the pot with his {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} before he noticed that Patel had made a runner runner flush with the {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Patel's double up was for 375,000 and Vogelsang is left with a mere dust.

"That's So Sick"

[user38873] • Nível 20: 8,000-16,000, 2,000 ante

Samuel Panzica opened from the cutoff and was called by Sergey Lebedev in the small blind as well as Diego Ventura in the big blind. The flop came {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Lebedev check-called a continuation bet worth 43,000 by Panzica, Ventura got out of the way.

After the {Q-Spades} turn, Lebedev bet 100,000 and Panzica called before the Russian then fired a bet of 225,000 on the {7-Spades} river, Panzica called and let out a "that's so sick" when Lebedev showed him {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} for a set of queens. "What did you have? A set?" Lebedev asked and Panzica simply replied "aces."

Both players checked and the {2-Spades} on the turn saw a bet worth 87,000 by Odeen. Lebedev called and the {4-Hearts} river resulted in a check by the Swede.

Lebedev fired 225,000 and Odeen quickly let go.
