Day 2 Ends with 71 Remaining
Day 2 of EPT Online 01: $1,050 NLHE [Arena Championship] was scheduled to play down to 72 remaining, but the final hand on the bubble with 73 left saw two players eliminated to set the Day 3 field at 71. Leading the way into Day 3 is Brazilian Fabio Luiz "FLBonatto" Bonatto who is looking to add to his more than $1 million in lifetime scores on PokerStars with a deeper run here.
Joining Bonatto with big stacks on Day 3 will be Daan "DaanOss" Mulders and Patrice "pAtcAsh83" Brandt, both bagging more than 25 million chips at the end of the day. Here's a look at the top ten stacks going into tomorrow's action:

The day started with 869 entries after more than 200 players elected to buy in before the start of Day 2. It played fairly quickly down to the money and about 4 hours after the day began, they were handing out pieces of the $2.426 million prize pool.
It took another five hours or so to play down to the final 71 players, and along the way start of day chip leader Toby "sadface11" Joyce ended up falling by the wayside. Joyce saw a run of bad luck around mid-day, including running queens into aces, and had to settle for 149th place and a score of $3,294.
Day 3 action gets underway tomorrow at 1:05 p.m. eastern time, and they'll play down to the final table. The final nine players will then take a day off on Wednesday, and return to the virtual felt Thursday to decide the champion of Event 01. "Tr!pleeeee" raised early to 240K, and "MikeJäger" three-bet to 896K. "Tr!pleeeee" called to the 
flop, then check-called for 532K. Both players checked the 
turn, and "MikeJäger" called 2.415M on the 
river. "Tr!pleeeee" had sixes, but they were capped by the queens of "MikeJäger" for a big pot on the Day 3 bubble.
Elsewhere, Markku "markovitsus" Koplimaa and "kackvogel84" exited on the same hand to leave 71 players in action for tomorrow's Day 3.
