A$10,600 Main Event
Dia 1c Começado
The final starting flight of the A$10,600 Aussie Millions Main Event is scheduled for today, starting at 12:30 p.m. local time. Day 1c traditionally attracts the biggest crowd, and the same can be expected this year. So far 424 players joined the field across the two previous heats at Crown Melbourne (160 on Day 1a and 264 on Day 1b).
The procedure for the last starting day remains the same. The participants will be navigating through seven 90-minute levels, beginning with 30,000 chips at 50/100. Big blind ante will come into play from the third level, and the action will wrap up with the conclusion of the 300/600/600 round.

Andrew Theakstone set the bar yesterday when he reported 207,300 to claim the pole position from Day 1a leader Fabian Quoss (187,100). With roughly half of the field making it through to Day 2, the players need to double their starting stack throughout the day to stay on par with the tournament average.
Dozens of the world's best players were busy competing in the A$50K Challenge in the last two days, and it is likely that some of them will now turn their attention to the flagship event. Late registration will be open through to the end of the flight and beyond, closing after the first level on Day 2.
The Aussie Millions Main Event is a classic freezeout, leaving everyone with a single tournament life. The previous two starting days weren't, however, short of some huge action straight from the opening minutes. So make sure to come back in time for the shuffle up and deal to follow the PokerNews live updates from start to finish.

The 2014 World Series of Poker Asia Pacific (APAC) Main Event champion Scott Davies delivered the shuffle up and deal in the Crown Casino poker room and when asked why he comes back frequently, Davies outlined that it is the best time of the year in the middle of the summer. Furthermore, the traveling poker pro who is now based in Las Vegas, also outlined the excellent hospitality of the staff during the entire duration of the festival.
Davies came close to winning yet another event here in Melbourne a few days ago and finished 5th in Event #13 NLHE Bounty.
Davies will join the field on Day 1c, as will many other notables with the biggest of the three starting days expected for today.

Ehsan Amiri and Shivan Abdine can be found next to each other on the right hand side of the balcony and both just met in a limped battle of the blinds. Amiri check-called a bet of 100 on the flop and the
turn was checked through. After the
river, Amiri bet 250 and a raise to 1,000 won the pot for Abdine.
