We caught the action from the turn with the board showing . Players were heads up and the big blind checked it over to Mo in the under the gun seat. The latter bet 3,800 and after a call the dealer revealed the river.

A final check from the big blind prompted Mo to fire for 9,600. The bet was paid off and Mo tabled for a straight.

Matas Cimbolas opened the hijack to 1,500 and his neighbor in the cutoff called. Ana Marquez defended her big blind and all three of them checked the flop. Marquez lead out for 3,800 on the turn and Cimbolas folded, the cutoff called.

Marquez bet the river by tossing in two 5,000-chips, though we couldn;t hear how much the bet exactly was. Her opponent folded and Marquez raked in the small pot.

Nitsche's Big Bet Does Not Get the Job Done

Dominik Nitsche raised the cutoff to 1,300 and the player in the big blind called. That player check-called a bet of 1,700 on and checked again on the turn. Nitsche bet 9,000 and after some pondering, the call followed.

Both players checked the on the river and Nitsche, having to show first as the last agressor always shows first here in Australia - no matter if that was on a street other than the river, tabled . The big blind showed and Nitsche licked his wounds.

We arrived at the table on the turn with the community cards showing . It was heads up and the player in the big blind checked it over the Kristen Bicknell.

Bicknell fired for 3,200 which was met with a call before the dealer presented the river card. The big blind checked again and after taking another peek at her cards, Bicknell bet 4,100.

After two minutes’ deliberation the big blind let it go and Bicknell was awarded the pot.

Koren Clips Opponent

Artur Koren raised to 1,350 from under the gun and was called by the player in the cutoff as well as Dietrich Fast in the big blind.

The flop came down and Fast checked. Koren threw out a continuation bet totalling 1,800 and the cutoff called. Fast folded.

The turn brought the and Koren checked. His opponent immediately reached for his chips and tossed out 3,500. Koren stared at the board for a moment then called.

The completed the board and both players opted to check. Koren waited until his opponent tabled his for ace-high before he revealed his for two pair and the winning hand.

Engel Applies Pressure

Ari Engel is ramping up the pressure and is flexing his raising muscles, much to the chagrin of his tablemates. Sitting under the gun Engel opened with a raise to 1,325 and picked up a caller on the button.

Engel led the flop for 1,500 and his opponent chewed over the decision before making the call.

The turn brought another Engel bet, this one a slightly larger 3,650. The button stared Engel down for two minutes but eventually made a grudging fold leaving Engel to scoop the pot.

Kristen Bicknell kicked off the action in the subsequent hand, raising to 1,200 from under the gun and action folded around to Engel in the big blind who, with chips to spare, chose to defend.

The flop came down bringing an Engel check and a Bicknell bet of 1,400. Engel reached for chips and check-raised to 5,200 in total and Bicknell peeked back down at her cards before sliding out a call.

The turn saw Engel fire for 7,900 and Bicknell took the hint and folded. She fell to 40,000 while Engel climbed up to 115,000.

Tan Takes Down Battle Of The Blinds

Jay Tan is back up over the six-figure mark after winning a pot from Mikita Badziakouski.

The board read and from the small blind Tan led for 3,100 into Badziakouski who was sitting in the big blind. The latter made the call and the peeled off on the river.

Tan loaded up again and fired for 6,500. Badziakouski studied her through his sunglasses but after checking and re-checking his cards he threw them in the muck.
