The Day Starts with a Bang; Wolters Busts Kempe and Bardah

Nível 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Derek Wolters opened to 22,000 and Ronnie Bardah announced all in for 18 big blinds. Rainer Kempe called all in for two big blinds less and Wolters called it off to create a massive pot in the three-way all in:

Kempe: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Bardah: {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Wolters: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades}{10-Spades}{J-Hearts} and despite all chop outs, the king kicker scooped the pot for Wolters to bust two opponents.

Nagi Busts to Sapitavicius

Nível 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Sergio Aido opened to 20,000 from the cutoff and Jim Nagi flat-called from the button, so did Arunas Sapitavicius from the big blind. On the flop {J-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, the action was checked to Nagi and the Aussie bet 25,000. Only Sapitavicius called and then led the {10-Diamonds} turn for 37,000.

Nagi announced a raise and slid forward 50,000 chips only to be reminded by the dealer that a minimum raise had to be at least 74,000. Sapitavicius then shoved and Nagi called it off for around 120,000 in total.

Sapitavicius: {Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Nagi: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The blank {3-Spades} river changed nothing whatsoever and Nagi hit the rail in 14th place.

Awerbuch Busts to Yan

Nível 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

[Removed:17] raised to 20,000 and Chad Awerbuch defended his big blind to see a flop of {6-Spades}{9-Spades}{A-Hearts}. The Aussie check-called a bet of 25,000 by "MissOracle" and checked again the {6-Diamonds} on the turn. Yan now fired a second barrel worth 54,000 and was called before Awerbuch also checked the {7-Hearts} river.

Yan asked his opponent if he had any bigger chips behind and then shoved for effectively 145,000. Awerbuch checked his stack carefully before calling it off and sent his cards into the muck as soon as Yan had flipped over the winning {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}.

Chin's Shove Goes Through

Nível 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Max Chin and Tang Peng had traded some chips before and just now Chin raised to 20,000. Peng was in the big blind and squeezed to 60,000 before his opponent moved all in. Peng asked for a count and ultimately mucked to the 346,000 shove.

Higgs Hits the Rail

Nível 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

2014 World Series of Poker Asia Pacific bracelet winner Sam Higgs had been a short stack for most of the last stages the previous night and didn't find any spot today. Down to just 112,000 chips, he moved all in from under the gun and Tang Peng announced the call from the button with the players in the blinds getting out of the way.

Higgs: {A-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Peng: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The flop {10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} was kind of an overkill, as only running fours or aces could save the Aussie. It was all over after the {2-Hearts} turn and the {A-Spades} river even gave Peng a full house.
